It was great to see so many of you at our recent EMCC annual conference in Amsterdam. You made it to a great success. It was a joy to experience the inspiring and creative buzz in the workshops and demonstrations and to take in the challenging key notes!
I look forward to welcoming even more participants in Dublin during the next and 17th International Coaching and Mentoring conference November 18-20, 2010.
While many of us now start preparing for the Holidays and New Year’s Eve, the forthcoming EMCC newsletter will bring you wishes from all our affiliated countries in their respective languages and some of them even present a short review of 2009 and plans for 2010. Look out for the next issue to be published soon on the website and, if you’re a member, in your mailbox.
Let me tell you something about EMCC’s achievements in 2009 in which we progressed according to plan:
- We have built a financially robust organisation enabling future growth
- We have created a structure suitable for future EMCC needs and supporting strategic priorities
- We have launched EIA (European Individual Accreditation) in the UK
- We have made EQA (European Quality Award) available throughout Europe
- We have created a new communication and marketing platform for EMCC making use of facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, wordpress and our website
Our strategic priorities for 2010 are:
- To strengthen EMCC leadership – both internally and externally
- To increase distribution of EQA across Europe
- To launch EIA in all affiliated countries
- To develop and present new products e.g. possibly a supervision EQA/EIA
- To engage all our members in defining the meaning of coaching and mentoring according to EMCC
- Launch the refurbished EMCC website and continue to improve our communication internally and externally
- To work with each affiliated country to secure local presence, global reach
- Continue EMCC growth by affiliating new countries
- Work with other coaching and mentoring bodies towards one globally recognised code of ethics
- Work with other coaching and mentoring bodies to gain a self-regulation status of the coaching and mentoring profession
I want to use this opportunity to wish you and your families peaceful Holidays and a prosperous new year. Until the next update!
